Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the procurement of assistive devices for patients with disabilities in Karachi under the Sindh Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. The procurement covers a wide range of medical and adaptive equipment including wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, communication devices, hearing aids, and other assistive technologies designed to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities. The institute, located opposite SIUT near Mujahid Masjid on Chand Bibi Road, Karachi, requires these devices to be supplied within 30 days for local items and 90 days for imported items, ensuring timely delivery to meet patient needs.
The scope includes both low-tech and high-tech assistive devices such as motorized wheelchairs, communication boards, voice output communication aids, and hearing amplifiers. Bidders must provide quality products compliant with technical specifications and demonstrate past performance with government or large private sector clients. The procurement process follows the Single Stage - One Envelope bidding procedure under Rule 46(1) of SPPRA Rules 2010, updated March 2022. The contract value is approximately PKR 1,000,000, and bidders must submit bids electronically via the EPADS system.
Compliance with PEC registration and active taxpayer status on FBR is mandatory. Bidders should ensure their bids include valid Earnest Money and meet the 90-day bid validity requirement.
