Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the up-gradation of the Connecting Rod Vertical Boring Single Spindle Equipment at Heavy Industries Taxila, Punjab. The Supply Chain Management Directorate of HIT Taxila requires a reliable and technically capable firm to supply, install, and commission this specialized machine used for boring connecting rods of 6TD-I/II engines. The project is based in Taxila Cantt and involves sourcing the equipment from a reputable manufacturer, ensuring smooth delivery, and providing comprehensive training and operational demonstration to HIT technical staff.
The scope includes installation, commissioning, and user testing as per OEM Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP). The machine must meet detailed technical specifications including diameter range, spindle speed, and feed rates. The supplier must also provide full documentation, maintenance plans, and ensure safety features to minimize mechanical and electrical hazards. The firm is expected to conduct insulation resistance and ground continuity tests and provide a warranty of two years post-clearance of the Consignee Receipt Voucher (CRV). Sustenance support for spares and services is required for five years after warranty expiry.
Bidders must comply with PEC category requirements and be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) with an active tax payer status for the fiscal year 2025-26. The tender demands submission of a bid security in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR), Bank Draft, or Pay Order. Firms must submit technical and financial proposals in separate sealed envelopes, with the technical bid including all mandatory documents such as NTN certificates, audit reports, and registration letters. The bid validity period is 120 days, extendable by 90 days.
The submission deadline is set for 28 January 2026 at 10:30 hours, with bid opening at 11:00 hours the same day at the Supply Chain Management Directorate, HIT Taxila.
