Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the construction of the 1st floor on the existing conference room ground floor and extension of offices at the IESCO Head Office located in G-7/4, Islamabad. The Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO) requires experienced contractors registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under category C-6 with specialization code CE-10 to undertake smaller civil works and special repair works within the IESCO region.
The scope includes concrete works, brickwork, reinforcement fabrication, plastering, electrical wiring, aluminum windows and doors, flooring with granite tiles, false ceiling installation, and painting. The site is situated in Islamabad, demanding adherence to local construction standards and efficient project management to complete the work within 90 days. Contractors must ensure quality workmanship, proper curing, and compliance with technical specifications provided in the bidding documents.
Bidders must hold a valid PEC registration renewed for the 2025-26 financial year and demonstrate prior experience with similar government or semi-government projects. Active registration with the Pakistan Revenue Authority (PRA) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is mandatory. The tender requires submission of a bid security of 4% of the estimated cost in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) or pay order. Additional performance security may be required if the bid price is below 10% of the NIT amount.
The submission deadline is set for 11:00 AM on 15th April 2026, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day at the Chief Engineer's office, Street No. 40, Sector G/7-4, Islamabad. Bids must be submitted electronically via E-PADS portal and accompanied by original bid security and non-refundable printing charges paid in cash at the Executive Engineer Civil Division office.
Pro-Tip: Ensure all bid documents are complete and signed, and double-check the validity of PEC registration and financial documents. Missing or incorrect bid security formats or late submissions will lead to disqualification. Also, verify the additional call deposit requirements carefully to avoid rejection due to bids below the threshold.
