Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the construction of the first floor and renovation of the ground floor of the Deputy Commissioner Camp Office located in Sehwan, Taluka Sehwan, District Jamshoro. The project falls under the Works & Services Department, Jamshoro, and involves civil construction activities including structural modifications and finishing works. The scope covers comprehensive building works ensuring compliance with local construction standards and specifications.
The site is situated in Sehwan, a key administrative area in Jamshoro district, Sindh. The works require skilled workmanship and quality materials to meet the functional and aesthetic requirements of the office premises. Contractors must be prepared to manage logistical challenges related to site access and material handling while adhering to the project timeline of 12 months from the commencement date. The engineering challenges include structural integrity during renovation and integration of new construction with existing facilities.
Bidders must hold a valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration in category C6 for the fiscal year 2025-26, suitable for works valued between PKR 4 million and PKR 50 million. Active registration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) is mandatory, along with submission of NTN certificates and proof of tax compliance for the last three years. Financial capacity should demonstrate a turnover of at least 80% of the estimated cost annually for the past three years. Experience in similar projects and availability of required machinery and technical staff are essential for eligibility.
The submission deadline is set for 10:00 AM on the closing date, with bid opening scheduled at 11:00 AM on the same day at the office of the Executive Engineer Buildings Division, Works & Services Department, Jamshoro. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes following the Single-Stage Two Envelope Procedure. The bid security amount is PKR 600,000, and a security deposit of 5% Call Deposit Receipt plus 5% Security Deposit will be applicable. Income tax will be deducted at 8% from the bills. Liquidity damages are set at 1% of the estimated cost per day of delay.
