Tender Description
This tender invites contractors in Quetta under the Metropolitan Corporation Quetta for a one-year closed framework agreement covering various construction and repair works. The scope includes building and repairing dustbins, RCC slabs, footpaths, road markings, blacktop roads, drainage systems, and maintenance of municipal buildings and quarters. The work demands expertise in civil construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, and steel reinforcements, with a focus on durability and compliance with local standards.
The project site is spread across Quetta city, requiring contractors to manage logistics and site challenges typical of urban infrastructure projects. The engineering tasks involve precise road marking, effective drainage solutions, and structural repairs to municipal properties, ensuring safety and functionality for public use.
Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for the current year in the relevant category and hold valid tax registrations including NTN, BRA, and Sales Tax Department. Compliance with Balochistan Public Procurement Rules 2014 and amendments is mandatory. Contractors should also be registered with the Balochistan Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (BPPRA). A bid security of PKR 600,000 in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) from a scheduled bank is required, along with a 10% performance security for each work order.
The submission deadline is set for 06/03/2026 at 09:00 AM, with bid opening scheduled the same day at 10:00 AM. All submissions and inquiries must be directed to the Office of the Metropolitan Engineer, Inscomb Road, Quetta. Tender documents can be obtained from the same office or downloaded from the BPPRA website one day before the opening date upon payment of a non-refundable fee of PKR 1,500.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid includes the correct stamp duty and earnest money as per the newspaper advertisement, as these are common pitfalls that can lead to disqualification. Also, carefully review the framework agreement terms to understand the performance security obligations for each work order.
