Tender Description
This tender invites experienced contractors registered with PEC and enlisted with the Local Council Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to supply and install LED solar integrated street lights and undertake various construction works including streets, drains, culverts, and retaining walls across multiple union councils in Katlang Tehsil, Mardan. The projects cover areas such as Farsh, Katlang Bazar, Jamal Ghari, and others, focusing on sustainable development under the Accelerated Sustainable Development Initiative (ASDI).
The scope includes electrical installations of solar-powered street lighting poles and civil works involving road pavements and drainage systems. Contractors must consider local site conditions and engineering challenges such as terrain variations and drainage management in Katlang. The works demand adherence to MRS-2025 standards and require coordination with the Assistant Engineer (Electrical) from the Local Council Board for vetting electrical works before execution.
Bidders must be registered with PEC in relevant categories, hold valid FBR registration with active taxpayer status, and be enlisted with KPRA and EPADS. The tender requires submission of earnest money and additional securities based on bid deviation from the engineer's estimate. Compliance with KPPRA rules and submission of detailed rate analysis for bids exceeding 20% below estimates is mandatory. The bid validity period is 90 days from closing.
Submission deadline is set for 22 January 2026 at 11:30 AM, with bid opening at 12:00 PM the same day. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS and hard copies delivered to the TMA Katlang office. Tender documents are available at the TMA office upon payment of a non-refundable fee. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 19 January 2026 at 12:00 PM at the TMA Katlang office.
Pro-Tip: Ensure all bid documents are properly sealed and signed with official stamps. Pay close attention to the additional security requirements for bids significantly below estimates to avoid disqualification. Also, verify the electrical work vetting process early to prevent delays.
