Tender Description
This tender invites qualified suppliers to provide and install LED street lighting systems across various locations in Karachi under the Municipal Corporation Karachi. The project focuses on upgrading existing street lights to energy-efficient LED fixtures, enhancing public safety and reducing power consumption in the city.
The scope includes supply of high-quality LED lamps, poles, wiring, and installation services. Karachi's urban environment presents challenges such as high traffic density and variable weather conditions, requiring durable materials and expert installation to ensure longevity and minimal maintenance. The contractor must comply with local electrical standards and coordinate with city authorities for site access.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC registration in the relevant category and maintain an active FBR ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Ensuring compliance with these requirements is crucial to avoid disqualification. The tender demands submission of Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as per the tender documents.
The submission deadline is set for the 24th of June 2024, with bids opening at 10:00 AM on the same day. Interested parties must submit sealed envelopes at the Municipal Corporation Karachi office located at City Hall, M.A. Jinnah Road, Karachi. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender advertisement for specific stamp duty and bid security instructions, as these are common pitfalls that can lead to rejection. Also, ensure all technical specifications are met precisely to avoid technical disqualification.
