Tender Description
This tender invites qualified firms and contractors in Karachi to undertake the provision and repair of miscellanies facilities along with the supply of fresh water through bowzers under the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of CMES Navy COMKAR. The scope includes maintenance and repair of lifts, furniture provision, cleaning of underground and overhead tanks, and fresh water supply at various naval installations including South Karachi, East Karachi, Karsaz, and Manora. The works require expertise in civil repairs, plumbing, and facility management within a military environment.
The projects involve diverse engineering challenges such as maintaining operational lifts, ensuring water supply logistics through bowzers, and repairing structural elements at PNS Rahbar and other naval sites. Contractors must be prepared to handle multiple simultaneous tasks across different locations in Karachi, requiring efficient resource management and adherence to military standards.
Contractors must be enlisted with MES in the Unlimited Category or have relevant government experience. Non-enlisted contractors must submit detailed documentation including performance reports, bank statements, GST registration, and NTN certificates. Earnest money deposits vary from 2% in government treasury or 5% of estimated cost via FDR/CDR for non-enlisted or suspended contractors. PEC registration and FBR ATL compliance for the financial year 2025-26 are advised to ensure eligibility and smooth processing.
The submission deadline is set for 05 February 2026 at 11:30 hours, with bid opening at 12:00 hours the same day. Bids must be submitted physically at the CMES Navy COMKAR Karachi office. Interested parties should ensure all documents and earnest money are in order before submission to avoid disqualification.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender advertisement for specific earnest money and security deposit requirements, as these are often overlooked and can lead to rejection. Also, ensure timely submission as late bids will not be entertained.
