Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the establishment of a practical training lab and yard for the CTC Chakwal at the IESCO Complex in Chakwal, Islamabad Capital Territory. The Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO) requires experienced contractors registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under category C-6 with specialization CE-10 to execute smaller civil works and special repair works within the IESCO region. The scope includes earthworks, brickwork, RCC work, plastering, flooring, painting, electrical wiring, and fencing among other civil and electrical tasks. The site is located in Chakwal, requiring careful handling of materials such as cement, bricks, steel reinforcement, and electrical fittings to meet the technical specifications and quality standards.
Contractors must comply with PEC registration and provide evidence of financial stability, including a fresh bank balance up to 50% of the estimated cost. The tender demands submission of a bid security in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) or pay order, and performance security upon award. Firms must also attach active registration certificates from PRA and FBR and demonstrate successful completion of similar works with government or semi-government entities. The contract period is 90 days from the date of award, with a bid validity of 120 days.
Bidders should ensure compliance with PEC category requirements and maintain active FBR/ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. The tender follows PPRA rules and requires submission of bids electronically via E-PADS portal, with original bid security and printing charges submitted physically. The bid opening is scheduled for 15th April 2026 at 11:30 AM at IESCO's office in Islamabad.
The submission deadline is strictly at 11:00 AM on 15th April 2026. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope or electronically as per instructions. The physical address for submission and bid opening is Executive Engineer Civil Division, IESCO, Street No.63, Sector G-8/1, Islamabad. The department reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids under PPRA Rule 33(1).
Pro-Tip: Ensure all bid documents are complete and signed, and pay special attention to the additional call deposit requirements if bidding below 10% of the NIT amount. Missing this often leads to disqualification. Also, verify the latest PEC registration and FBR certificates to avoid rejection on technical grounds.
