Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the rehabilitation and renovation of Jamia Masjid KDA Mori Balacha and several allied facilities in Thatta under the Chief Administrator Auqaf Sindh Hyderabad. The scope includes construction of compound walls, lavatory blocks, coloring and repairing of the mosque, installation of electric lighting at Dargah Makan Sharif, and construction of tombs, musafirkhanas, and boundary walls at various religious sites within Thatta. The project demands skilled civil works with attention to structural integrity and aesthetic restoration in a culturally sensitive environment.
The works involve extensive civil construction including dismantling, plastering, marble flooring, painting, excavation, and brickwork. The site locations are spread across Thatta, requiring careful logistical planning and adherence to engineering standards. Contractors must be prepared to manage challenges such as site access, preservation of heritage structures, and coordination with local authorities. The use of quality materials and compliance with specifications is critical to ensure durability and safety.
Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under relevant codes and hold valid registrations with FBR and SRB. Compliance with the 2025-26 financial year requirements, including submission of FBR & SRB returns for the last three years, is mandatory. PEC category registration and a minimum financial turnover matching the project cost are essential. Bid security of 5% and earnest money in the form of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) are required. Technical bids will be evaluated on detailed criteria, and only technically qualified bidders will have their financial bids opened.
The submission deadline is **13-04-2026** with bid opening at 11:00 AM at the Office of Chief Administrator Auqaf Sindh Hyderabad, located opposite Session Court Fatima Jinnah Road Hyderabad. Bidders must submit their bids online through the E-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (E-PADS) and also provide original sealed tender fee and bid security in separate envelopes physically before the deadline.
Pro-Tip: Ensure all pages of the technical proposal are numbered and attested with the firm's stamp and CNIC-compliant signature. Also, carefully review the newspaper advertisement for specific stamp duty requirements and bid security conditions, which are often overlooked but critical for bid acceptance.
