Tender Description
This tender invites experienced contractors in Abbottabad for specialized construction works including seepage and roof treatment, road re-carpeting, and maintenance services at Shinkiari and Havelians. The scope covers both residential and non-residential structures requiring expert repair and rehabilitation using quality construction materials suited for the local climate and terrain. The works demand careful engineering to address water seepage issues and road surface durability in these hilly areas.
Contractors must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and belong to approved MES categories A, B, C, D, or E. They should provide evidence of relevant experience and a clean litigation record. The tender documents will only be issued to firms meeting these criteria after scrutiny. The work requires adherence to technical specifications and timely execution under the supervision of the Directorate of Inspection and Evaluation (E-in-C's Branch GHQ).
Applicants should ensure their PEC registration is valid for the 2025-26 financial year and maintain an active ATL status with the FBR. Submission of Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) is mandatory. Contractors are advised to verify all compliance requirements carefully to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is on the 31st of January 2026 by 11:30 AM, with the tender opening scheduled at 12:00 PM on the same day. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes at the General Engineering (GE) Abbottabad office between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM on working days.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to check the newspaper advertisement for specific stamp duty and Earnest Money requirements, which are often overlooked and can lead to bid rejection. Also, attend the tender opening to clarify any last-minute queries directly with the accepting officer.
