Tender Description
This tender invites contractors registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for the execution of special repair and maintenance works at the C-1 Bungalow located within the IESCO Complex in Jhelum. Issued by Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO), this project falls under the construction and civil works category with additional plumbing and electrical components. The scope includes removal and replacement of cement plaster, dismantling brick and concrete work, flooring with glazed tiles and marble, plumbing installations including water closets and wash basins, electrical wiring, and installation of fans and lighting fixtures.
The work site is situated in Jhelum, Punjab, requiring contractors to manage civil, plumbing, and electrical tasks with precision. The project demands expertise in handling materials such as cement, bricks, steel reinforcement, PVC pipes, and electrical conduits. Contractors must ensure compliance with technical specifications and maintain quality standards throughout the repair and maintenance process. The engineering challenges include careful dismantling and reconstruction without damaging existing structures, proper waterproofing, and ensuring electrical safety.
Bidders must hold a valid PEC registration renewed for the 2025-26 fiscal year with at least Category C-6 and specialization code CE-10. Firms should be active taxpayers with FBR and PRA registrations and demonstrate financial capability with a fresh bank balance of at least 50% of the estimated cost. Performance certificates from previous similar works are mandatory. The tender requires earnest money deposit of 4% of the estimated cost and performance security of 10% of the contract price upon award. Bidders should be aware of the additional call deposit requirements if bidding below 10% of the NIT amount.
The submission deadline is set for 11:00 AM on 15th April 2026, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day at IESCO's office in Islamabad. Bids must be submitted electronically via E-PADS portal with original bid security and printing charges submitted physically before closing time. The physical address for submission is Executive Engineer Civil Division, IESCO, Street No.63, Sector G-8/1, Islamabad.
Pro-Tip: Ensure all bid documents are complete and signed, and pay special attention to the additional call deposit requirements for bids below 10% of the NIT. Missing this often leads to disqualification. Also, verify the PEC category and FBR registration validity to avoid rejection during technical evaluation.
