Tender Description
This tender invites qualified companies and firms to establish, operate, and maintain a food and refreshment counter at Quetta International Airport. The concession space is approximately 78 sqft located in the Quetta Concourse Hall, awarded for five years with a 10% annual price enhancement on a cumulative basis. The department requires bidders with strong technical experience and financial stability, emphasizing an 80% weightage on technical evaluation to ensure quality service delivery in this busy airport environment.
The concession involves managing food and refreshment services in a high-traffic airport setting, demanding efficient operations and compliance with health and safety standards. The site in Quetta presents logistical considerations typical of airport concessions, including space constraints and customer flow management. Bidders must prepare separate sealed technical and financial bids, ensuring clarity and adherence to submission protocols.
Bidders should ensure they meet the Pakistan Airports Authority's eligibility criteria, including valid NTN certificates and CNIC copies. Advance Income Tax will be deducted as per section 236-A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001. It is advisable to verify FBR ATL status and ensure no outstanding dues with PAA to avoid disqualification. The tender process requires earnest money in the form of a pay order or demand draft, and any fraudulent documents will lead to blacklisting.
The submission deadline is on the 30th of January 2026, with technical bids opening at 11:30 AM at the office of the Airport Manager/COO, Quetta International Airport. Tender documents must be dropped in the designated box before the deadline; late submissions will not be accepted.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to check the newspaper advertisement for specific stamp duty and earnest money requirements, which are often overlooked and can lead to disqualification. Also, clear any outstanding dues with PAA before financial bid opening to avoid rejection.
