Tender Description
Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited invites experienced sub-contractors for marine aluminum ducting fabrication and installation in vessel compartments. This tender focuses on specialized engineering services in Karachi under the SB-293 contract.
The scope includes fabrication and installation of aluminum ducting within various compartments and spaces of a vessel currently under construction. The work demands precision and adherence to marine engineering standards, with materials and workmanship suited to harsh marine environments. The site is located at Karachi Shipyard, requiring contractors to manage logistics and technical challenges associated with shipboard installations.
Bidders should ensure they meet PEC requirements relevant to marine engineering works and maintain an active FBR ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. It is advisable to prepare a valid Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as Earnest Money and complete the pre-qualification form with proper signatures and stamps to avoid disqualification.
Submission deadline is set for 25th March 2026 at 11:00 AM, with technical proposals opening at 11:30 AM on the same day at the Development & Sub-Contract office, Ship Planning Hall, Works Office Building, Karachi Shipyard. Financial proposals will be opened later for technically qualified bidders.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender documents for the exact stamp duty and Earnest Money requirements, as these are commonly overlooked and can lead to bid rejection. Ensure all submissions are in sealed envelopes as per instructions to maintain compliance.
