Tender Description
This tender invites national consulting firms to undertake the master planning of fisherfolk colonies along the Balochistan coastline, managed by the Directorate of Fisheries in Quetta. The project falls under the consultancy category and focuses on strategic planning to support coastal communities.
The assignment requires detailed mapping, zoning of areas, and risk/hazard analysis to ensure sustainable development of fisherfolk colonies. The work involves complex planning challenges due to the coastal environment and socio-economic factors affecting the region. Firms must demonstrate expertise in consulting engineering, with experience in similar projects involving master planning and coastal risk assessments.
Bidders should hold PEC registration as Consulting Engineering Firms and be active on the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) lists. A minimum turnover of PKR 25 million over the last three years is mandatory, along with at least three similar assignments. Compliance with the Balochistan Public Procurement Rules, 2014, is required, and firms must not be blacklisted by any procuring agency in Pakistan.
The submission deadline is set for 05 February 2026 at 12:30 PM, with bid opening scheduled for 01:30 PM the same day. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the Electronic Public Procurement System (EPPS). The Directorate of Fisheries office is located at Quetta Block-12, Civil Secretariat, Quetta.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid security, equivalent to 2% of the estimated cost, is properly issued in the name of the DG Fisheries from a scheduled bank. Also, carefully review the technical proposal requirements to avoid disqualification during the initial evaluation stage.
