Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the purchase and refilling of medical gases at the Public Sector General Hospital located in Islamabad. The department requires authorized distributors and reputed suppliers registered with income tax and sales tax departments to supply medical oxygen, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen cylinders, and related accessories. The scope includes refilling of various sizes of medical oxygen liquid containers and cylinders, replacement of valves, hydraulic testing, painting of cylinders, and installation of copper piping with line control valves. The hospital is situated in sector H-11/4 Islamabad, and the work demands strict adherence to quality and timely delivery to ensure uninterrupted medical gas supply critical for patient care.
The tender follows a single stage two-envelope bidding procedure where technical and financial proposals must be submitted separately in sealed envelopes. The technical bid will be evaluated first without price consideration, and only technically compliant bids will have their financial proposals opened. Earnest money of PKR 100,000 in the form of pay order or bank draft is mandatory with the technical bid. The tender documents can be downloaded from the PPRA website, and a non-refundable fee of PKR 1,500 is required. The hospital reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bidders should ensure they hold valid PEC registration and maintain active taxpayer status with FBR for the fiscal year 2025-26. Compliance with all statutory requirements including GST and income tax registration is essential. The tender validity extends for one year from the award date, and no changes in supplier distribution will be allowed during the contract period.
The submission deadline is on the 31st of January 2026 by 10:00 AM, with technical bids opening at 10:30 AM on the same day in the conference room of PAEC General Hospital H-11/4 Islamabad. Late submissions or incomplete bids will be rejected. All correspondence should be addressed to the Admin Officer Procurement at the hospital.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to carefully prepare the technical proposal with all required documents and earnest money to avoid disqualification. Also, verify the exact specifications of medical gases and accessories to match hospital requirements and avoid ambiguity in the offer.
