Tender Description
This tender invites contractors registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for the execution of PCC flooring and construction of a fiber shed at the IESCO Complex in Marrir Hassan, Rawalpindi. The Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO) requires skilled contractors to carry out specialized civil works including concrete flooring, steel fabrication, and installation of fiber glass sheets. The project involves detailed engineering and construction activities on site, demanding adherence to quality standards and timely completion within 60 days.
The scope covers providing and laying tuff tiles, cement concrete works, dismantling and reinstallation of reinforced concrete, brickwork, plastering, painting, and installation of floodlights and wiring. The site is located in Rawalpindi, Punjab, and requires contractors to manage earthworks, steel reinforcement, and structural fabrication with precision. Contractors must be prepared to handle logistical challenges and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety regulations.
Bidders must hold PEC registration renewed for 2025-26 with at least Category C-6 and specialization code CE-10. Active registration with PRA and FBR is mandatory, along with submission of income tax returns and a fresh bank balance certificate covering 50% of the estimated cost. The tender requires a 4% earnest money deposit in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) and performance security of 10% of the contract price upon award. Bids below 10% of the NIT amount require additional performance security.
The submission deadline is set for 11:00 AM on 15th April 2026, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day at IESCO's office in Sector G/7-4, Islamabad. Bidders must submit sealed bids electronically via E-PADS and provide original bid security and printing charges in person before closing time. The physical address for submission is Executive Engineer Civil Division IESCO, Street No.63, Sector G-8/1, Islamabad.
Pro-Tip: Ensure all bid documents are complete and signed, and double-check the validity of PEC registration and financial documents. Missing or incorrect bid security formats or late submission of original CDRs often lead to disqualification. Also, verify the additional call deposit requirements for bids below 10% of the NIT to avoid rejection.
