Tender Description
This tender invites qualified vendors in Karachi to supply a pneumatic air compressor, air dryer, and heat exchanger replacement for Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL). The scope includes fabrication, installation, commissioning, and operational training for technical staff at the PIA Supply Chain Management Building, Karachi Airport. The compressor is a GA90SDIPM stationary air-cooled oil-injected rotary screw type with a maximum working pressure of 13 Bar and motor power of 90 KW. The air dryer is a fully automatic F-400 refrigeration type with high-efficiency heat exchangers and VSD technology. The heat exchanger is specified for replacement as per the attached schedule. All equipment must meet EU origin standards, CAGI approval, and IES standards with at least six years of brand distribution experience.
Bidders must be registered with GST authorities and provide valid GST and NTN certificates. The tender requires submission of a technical proposal including company profile and technical literature, along with a financial proposal containing the filled schedule and earnest money pay order of PKR 500,000. The tender fee is PKR 20,000 non-refundable. Delivery must be made to the PIA SCM Building, Karachi Airport, with a 15% quantity variation allowed. Payment terms are net 30 days. The tender follows a single stage two envelope procedure with electronic bid submission through EPADS mandatory, and original bid security must be submitted physically before the deadline.
Participants should ensure compliance with PEC categories and maintain active FBR/ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. The tender emphasizes firm pricing valid for 120 days and adherence to delivery schedules to avoid penalties or risk purchase. The earnest money can be converted into a security deposit upon contract award. All bids must be submitted by 14th January 2026 at 10:30 AM, with technical bids opened the same day at 11:00 AM. The physical address for submission is the General Manager Procurement, PIA SCM Building, JIAP Karachi.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender documents for the exact stamp duty and earnest money submission requirements, as missing these can lead to disqualification. Also, ensure timely registration and training on the EPADS portal to avoid technical submission issues.
