Tender Description
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Karachi invites qualified bidders to supply 200 lobby type Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) for its conventional and Islamic banking branches across Pakistan. This procurement focuses on advanced CDMs featuring bulk note acceptance, counterfeit detection, biometric integration, and centralized remote monitoring. The machines must comply with SBP certification and support seamless integration with NBP's core banking and NADRA biometric verification systems.
The scope includes delivery, installation, commissioning, and comprehensive warranty and maintenance services for a period of up to four years. The CDMs should be equipped with industrial-grade hardware, secure vaults, and advanced software capable of encrypted communication and real-time health monitoring. The solution must adhere to PCI compliance, secure SDLC practices, and SBP cybersecurity advisories. Bidders must demonstrate financial stability, technical expertise, and local presence with proven experience in similar deployments.
Bidders are advised to ensure PEC registration, active NTN/STN status, and compliance with FBR/ATL requirements for the fiscal year 2025-26. The bid security and performance guarantees must be furnished as per NBP's standard bidding documents. The procurement follows a single stage, two-envelope procedure with electronic submission via EPADS only. Manual bids will not be accepted.
The submission deadline is set for 27th April 2026 at 3:00 PM, with technical bids opening immediately thereafter. The physical submission of original bid security instruments is required at NBP Head Office, Karachi. The detailed technical and financial evaluation will be conducted, and only technically compliant bids will proceed to financial opening. The contract award will be based on the lowest evaluated bid meeting all technical and financial criteria.
Pro-Tip: Ensure strict adherence to the technical specifications and provide complete documentary evidence with proper referencing in the technical proposal. Missing or incomplete documentation is a common cause of disqualification. Also, carefully review the penalty clauses related to delivery timelines to avoid financial liabilities.
