Tender Description
This tender invites qualified firms to undertake reclamation and replacement of damaged parts of 200-KVA ir-repairable distribution transformers in Gujranwala under the supervision of Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA). The scope includes replacing less cores, nil oil, damaged tubes, defective bodies, and other components with new parts as per WAPDA/PEPCO specifications DDS84:2020 (Amended to date except amendment No.5). The transformers are critical for power distribution and require precise engineering to ensure reliability and compliance with technical standards.
The work involves handling heavy electrical equipment at the 132-KV Grid Station Shaheenabad, Gujranwala. Contractors must be experienced in transformer manufacturing or reclamation, with a proven track record. The project demands adherence to WAPDA specifications and delivery of components free of foreign exchange elements, ensuring local compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Bidders must be on the active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and submit a valid Bid Guarantee/Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) of PKR 1,200,000 issued by a Scheduled Bank of Pakistan. The tender follows the 2025-26 fiscal year requirements, and conditional or incomplete bids will be rejected. Firms should ensure their PEC category aligns with electrical works and maintain all regulatory compliances.
The submission deadline is set for 03-February-2026 at 11:00 AM, with the tender opening scheduled at 11:30 AM on the same day. Bids must be submitted through E-PADs and manually to the office of the Regional Manager at the 132-KV Grid Station Shaheenabad, Gujranwala. Interested parties can obtain tender documents from the E-PADs/PPRA website.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender documents for the exact specifications of elliptical tubes and other components, as missing these details can lead to disqualification. Also, ensure the Bid Guarantee validity covers 150 days as required to avoid technical rejection.
