Tender Description
This tender invites bids for rehabilitation, protection, repair, and renovation works at multiple MEPCO grid stations and offices across Southern Punjab including Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan, Layyah, Vehari, and others. The scope covers foundation protection of transmission towers, special repairs of control houses, residential quarters, office buildings, boundary walls, and security huts. These works require skilled civil engineering expertise to handle structural repairs and renovations in operational electrical infrastructure sites, ensuring minimal disruption to power supply and adherence to safety standards.
The projects involve use of quality construction materials suitable for electrical grid environments, with attention to durability and compliance with engineering specifications. The sites are spread across various cities in Punjab, presenting logistical and technical challenges such as working within live grid stations and coordinating with MEPCO operational teams.
Bidders must hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration under category CE-10, maintain active registration with Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), and have up-to-date Income Tax registration with FBR. Compliance with FBR's Active Taxpayer List (ATL) for the fiscal year 2025-26 is mandatory. Firms should prepare earnest money in the form of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR), bank draft, or pay order as specified. Technical and financial bids will be submitted electronically via EPADS, following MEPCO's procurement policies.
The submission deadline is set for 03 March 2026, with bid opening scheduled 1.5 hours after submission closes. Bids must be submitted through the EPADS online portal. The opening ceremony will be held at the office of the Superintending Engineer (Civil), MEPCO Headquarters, Khanewal Road, Multan. Manual bids will not be accepted.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid security documents are correctly prepared and submitted in original form before the deadline. Missing or conditional bids are commonly rejected. Also, verify your PEC category and FBR ATL status well in advance to avoid disqualification.
