Tender Description
This tender invites bids from qualified vendors in Karachi for the repair and maintenance of self-starters and alternators used in the Sindh Integrated Emergency and Health Services ambulance fleet. The department requires expert servicing to ensure reliable starting and charging systems across 463 ambulances operating 24/7. The scope includes inspection, repair, replacement of parts like carbon brushes, bearings, solenoids, armatures, and rewinding where necessary. The work demands genuine or OEM-approved parts and thorough testing on diagnostic benches before reinstallation to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment life.
The contract is a closed framework agreement valid for 12 months with a maximum turnaround time of 2 working days per unit and emergency support within 24 hours. Vendors must have at least 3 years of experience in automotive electrical systems, skilled technicians, and equipped workshops. Compliance with OEM specifications and electrical safety standards is mandatory. The contract is managed by Sindh Integrated Emergency and Health Services, a section 42 not-for-profit company committed to quality emergency healthcare services in Karachi.
Bidders should ensure they meet PEC category requirements and are active taxpayers with FBR and SRB. The bid security is fixed at PKR 200,000, and performance security is 5% of the contract value. Bids must remain valid for 90 days. The department advises checking all bid documents carefully, including stamp duty and bid security conditions, to avoid disqualification.
Submission deadline is on 9th March 2026 at 10:30 AM via the EPADS online portal. Bids will be opened the same day at 11:00 AM at the SIEHS office located at 43-15/K, Block 6, PECHS, Karachi. Physical submission of the tender fee pay order is also required before the deadline.
