Tender Document
Tender Description
This tender invites qualified suppliers to provide and install solar power systems across multiple government buildings in Karachi under the Sindh Public Procurement Department. The project focuses on enhancing energy efficiency by deploying photovoltaic panels, inverters, and battery storage units tailored to the specific load requirements of each site. Karachi's urban environment presents challenges such as limited rooftop space and high ambient temperatures, requiring robust and durable solar equipment.
The scope includes site surveys, system design, procurement of high-quality solar modules, installation, testing, and commissioning. Suppliers must ensure compliance with local electrical standards and provide warranties for equipment and workmanship. This initiative supports sustainable energy goals and reduces reliance on conventional power sources.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC registration in the relevant category and maintain an active FBR ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. It is advisable to prepare a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as Earnest Money as per tender requirements. Familiarity with the technical bid submission process and financial bid separation is essential to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is set for 23:59:59 on the 24th of June 2024, with technical bids opening promptly at 10:00 AM the following day. All bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the Sindh Public Procurement Department office located at Karachi Secretariat, Block B, 3rd Floor.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender advertisement for specific stamp duty and bid security instructions, as these are commonly overlooked and can lead to bid rejection. Ensure all documentation is complete and properly signed to streamline evaluation.
