Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors in Karachi to supply and install solar power systems across various government buildings under the Energy Department of Sindh. The project focuses on enhancing energy efficiency and reducing reliance on conventional power sources by deploying state-of-the-art photovoltaic panels, inverters, and battery storage units. The scope includes site surveys, system design, installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with local electrical standards and environmental regulations.
The work involves handling high-quality solar modules and electrical components, requiring skilled labor and precise engineering to overcome challenges such as rooftop load capacity and shading issues in urban settings. Karachi's climate and infrastructure conditions necessitate robust system design to maximize energy yield and durability.
Bidders must hold a valid PEC Category C-4 or above license and be registered with the FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Submission of Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) is mandatory. The tender process emphasizes transparency and adherence to procurement rules, ensuring only compliant and capable firms participate.
The submission deadline is set for the 15th of May 2024, with bids opening at 10:00 AM the same day. Interested parties should deliver their sealed technical and financial bids to the Energy Department office located at Government Secretariat, Karachi. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender advertisement for specific stamp duty and bid security requirements, as these are often overlooked and can lead to disqualification. Ensure all documentation is complete and properly signed to avoid technical rejection.
