Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the special maintenance and repair of roads in Khahi and Sanghar, Sindh. The scope covers three main parts: Part A involves maintenance of the road from Khahi to village Haji Muhammad Mari Derkani covering 3.20 kms with a 1 1/2 inch thick asphalt surface. Part B includes repair of the road from village Saman Abad to UC Khahi road for 1.00 km with the same asphalt thickness. Part C covers the Khahi City Bye Pass road for 2.00 kms, also with a 1 1/2 inch thick asphalt surface. The total length of roads to be maintained and repaired is 6.20 kms. The works include earthworks, sub-base and base course preparation, brick edging, surface treatment, and laying of asphalt concrete with proper compaction and finishing. Additionally, culverts replacement and installation of traffic and informational signs are part of the contract. The site is located in Sanghar district, Sindh province, and the contractor must ensure compliance with all technical specifications and standards for road construction and maintenance.
The contractor must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and discipline and must be registered with the tax authorities. The contract requires submission of a bid security of PKR 9.679 million and a non-refundable tender fee of PKR 5,000. The contract duration extends up to June 2026. The contractor is advised to prepare a detailed construction schedule and method statement, including mobilization plans and equipment lists. The works must be executed with due care to site conditions and environmental considerations.
Bidders should ensure they meet all eligibility criteria, including PEC registration and tax compliance. The bid validity period is 90 days, and the bid security must remain valid for 28 days beyond this period.
