Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the strengthening of the Chief Minister's Secretariat building located in Quetta, Balochistan, under the Maintenance Division. The project involves structural reinforcement and civil works to enhance the durability and safety of the Secretariat premises. The work will be executed based on composite schedule rates 2023 with percentage rates, ensuring compliance with modern engineering standards and local construction requirements.
The site is situated in Quetta, requiring careful consideration of regional climatic and geological conditions. Contractors must be prepared to handle the engineering challenges associated with strengthening an existing government building, including material quality control and adherence to safety protocols. The estimated cost for this project is PKR 9,771,600, reflecting the scope and complexity of the civil works involved.
Bidders must be registered on the Active Taxpayer List and not blacklisted by any procuring agency. The firm should have completed at least three similar assignments with a turnover of PKR 6,840,120 in the last three years, demonstrating financial and technical capacity. Compliance with PEC registration and FBR/ATL status is mandatory for the fiscal year 2025-26. Submission of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as bid security at 3% of the estimated cost is required to ensure earnest participation.
The deadline for bid submission is the 19th of January, 2026, by 11:00 AM, with the tender opening scheduled at 12:00 PM on the same day. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the Executive Engineer Maintenance Division Quetta at the C&W Complex near Chamman Patak Mir Jafar Khan Jamali Road, Quetta. Tender documents are available from the office upon payment of a PKR 2,000 fee.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid security is in the form of a bank guarantee or deposit from a scheduled bank as per the tender requirements. Missing or incorrect bid security often leads to disqualification during financial evaluation.
