Tender Description
The National Highway Authority (NHA) invites e-Bids from eligible constructors for the construction of a 4 lane bridge across the River Indus, linking Layyah with Taunsa, including a 2 lane approach road and river training works over a total length of 23.006 KM under Package-II. This major infrastructure project is part of the Central Zone and aims to improve connectivity and facilitate regional trade and mobility. The works are divided into three distinct packages, each with its own technical requirements and estimated costs.
Items being procured:
- Package-IIA: Construction of 4 lane bridge across River Indus linking Layyah with Taunsa (Approach Road Layyah Side, 0+000 to 8+333, Estimated Cost: Rs. 3,261.548 Million)
- Package-IIB: Right and left guide banks (2 x 1.934 = 3.868 KM, Estimated Cost: Rs. 3,221.698 Million)
- Package-IIC: Approach road Taunsa side (9+883 to 24+556, Estimated Cost: Rs. 3,805.465 Million)
The technical scope includes large-scale civil works, bridge construction, road development, and river training structures. Bidders must possess valid PEC licenses for the financial year 2026-27 in the relevant categories and specialization codes (CE-01, CE-02, CE-10), and must be on the Active Taxpayers List of FBR. All firms are required to obtain PPRA registration at www.eprocure.gov.pk. Earnest Money and other bid securities must be submitted as per the bidding documents.
The deadline for submission of technical e-Bids is September 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Bids must be submitted online via the NHA e-bidding portal, and hard copies must be delivered to the Member (Central Zone), National Highway Authority, Shahpur Interchange, Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road, Lahore. A practical tip: Ensure your PEC license covers all required specialization codes and that your bid security is prepared exactly as specified to avoid disqualification at the technical evaluation stage.
