Tender Description
The Air University, Islamabad Campus (Air University) invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Annual Contract for purchase of Medicines for its campuses located in Islamabad. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and will be conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 platform using the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) technique. Items being procured include a comprehensive list of medicines such as Leflox 500Mg Tablet, Ciproxin 500Mg Tablet, Augmentin 625Mg Tablet, Panadol Tablet, Ponstan Tablet, Brufen 400 Tablet, Ventolin 2Mg Tablet, Neurobion Tablet, Flagyl 400Mg Tablet, Amoxil 500Mg Capsule, and many others as per the attached detailed annexure. The contract also covers delivery of medicines at Air University Main Campus, replacement of expired medicines during the contract period, and compliance with all technical specifications and quality standards. Medicines must be registered with the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) and comply with pharmacopoeial standards such as BP, USP, or Ph. Eur. Bidders must be legally registered pharmaceutical manufacturers, authorized importers, or distributors with valid licenses and registrations. The contract requires medicines to have at least 75% shelf life remaining at delivery and to be supplied in original, sealed packaging with clear labeling including batch number, manufacturing and expiry dates, and DRAP registration number. The bid security amount is PKR 120,000 in the form of a Pay Order. Bids must be submitted online via EPADS v2.0 by Monday, October 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with bid opening on the same day at 11:30 AM. Manual submissions will not be entertained. The Procuring Agency reserves the right to inspect and test supplied medicines and reject any that do not meet quality standards. Payment will be made after satisfactory delivery and acceptance. Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents, ensure compliance with eligibility criteria including FBR registration and DRAP approvals, and submit all required documents timely. One practical tip for bidders is to register early on EPADS v2.0 and ensure all technical and financial documents are complete to avoid disqualification. This contract offers a significant opportunity for pharmaceutical suppliers to engage with a reputable academic institution in Islamabad and contribute to the health and wellbeing of its community.
