Annual Repair and Maintenance Contract for Air Conditioners, Water Coolers, Deep Freezers and Refrigerators at Port Qasim Authority Karachi

This tender invites bids for the annual repair and maintenance contract of air conditioners, water coolers, deep freezers, and refrigerators at Port Qasim Authority in Karachi. The contract covers comprehensive servicing, minor and major repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure efficient operation of all installed equipment under the Mechanical & Electrical Department of Port Qasim Authority. The scope includes deployment of four qualified AC mechanics on site during working hours to provide prompt service and timely repairs. The contractor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, efficient servicing, and economical use of materials and spare parts. The contract requires 24-hour service availability with repair completion within 72 hours to avoid liquidated damages. Adequate stock of spare parts and transportation means must be maintained by the contractor. The site and power supply will be provided free of cost by the Authority. Bidders must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-6 or above with specialization codes ME-01 and EE-04, valid until June 2026. Registration with FBR and Sindh Revenue Board on active tax payer lists is mandatory. The contractor must comply with all statutory obligations and provide a performance security of 10% of the contract cost. The contract period is 12 months with a 12-month maintenance period. Liquidated damages of 0.1% per day up to 10% of contract price apply for late completion. Submission deadline is at 12:00 hours on 18th December 2025, with bid opening at 12:30 hours on the same day at the office of Director (M&E), Port Qasim Authority, Karachi.
