Punjab Fisheries Department, Bahawalpur, is conducting an open auction for the rights to catch fish at the Head Bahawal canal system, specifically in the 1509 MC and 500 MC, as well as Head 44, Bahawalpur. The auction will be held on 28 September 2026 at 10:30 AM at the office of the undersigned. This opportunity is open to interested parties who wish to acquire the lease rights for fish catching in these designated water bodies for the upcoming year. Items being auctioned: - Fish catching rights for 1509 MC canal, Bahawalpur - Fish catching rights for 500 MC canal, Bahawalpur - Fish catching rights for Head 44, Bahawalpur The reserve price for each site is set at Rs. 15,000 per month. Bidders are required to deposit earnest money of Rs. 15,000 for each site in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) or Pay Order. The successful bidder must pay one-third of the total bid amount immediately after the auction, with the remaining amount payable in two equal installments. The lease period is for one year, and the lessee will be responsible for adhering to all fisheries regulations and ensuring sustainable fishing practices. Eligibility criteria include submission of valid CNIC, proof of address, and the required earnest money. Only those who fulfill all requirements will be allowed to participate in the auction. The auction committee reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning any reason. The decision of the committee will be final and cannot be challenged in any court of law.
