Tender Description
NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights.
Pakistan Railways is conducting an open auction in Karachi for the sale of a lot of used machinery scrap. This auction is an excellent opportunity for scrap dealers, recycling businesses, and interested buyers to acquire a significant quantity of machinery that has been declared unserviceable and is now being disposed of through public auction. The auction will be held on 29 August 2026 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the auction for the lot commencing at 9:00 AM on 30 August 2026.

The auction will take place at the designated location in Karachi, and all interested parties are invited to participate. The scrap consists of machinery that has been previously used and is now surplus to the requirements of Pakistan Railways. The auction will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the department, and all participants must comply with the terms outlined in the notice.
To participate, bidders must bring their original CNIC and submit a pay order or demand draft for earnest money equivalent to 10% of their bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to deposit 20% of the total bid amount immediately after the auction, with the remaining balance to be paid within the stipulated time frame. All applicable taxes and duties will be the responsibility of the buyer. The department reserves the right to reject any or all bids without assigning any reason.
