Tender Description
The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Karachi, is offering an auction for the disposal of used official vehicles on an AS IS WHERE IS basis. This procurement is specifically for interested individuals, parties, or firms located primarily in Karachi and Islamabad, with vehicle inspection available at TDAP regional offices in Quetta and Islamabad as well. The vehicles include a 2007 Toyota and a 2006 Suzuki, both official government vehicles. The auction process is managed through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (e-PADS), ensuring transparency and ease of participation.
The technical scope involves the sale of vehicles without any warranty or guarantee, requiring bidders to inspect the vehicles at their own cost before submitting bids. The vehicles are located at TDAP offices in Karachi, Quetta, and Islamabad, with inspection available until 25th May 2026 during office hours. Bidders must provide bid security in the form of a pay order or bank draft in favor of TDAP before the bid opening date. The highest bid exceeding the reserve price will be accepted, and full payment must be made promptly to avoid forfeiture of earnest money.
Eligibility for participation requires bidders to comply with the instructions in the bidding documents available for free download from e-PADS, PPRA, and TDAP websites. While no specific PEC category or FBR registration is mandated, bidders should be familiar with government auction procedures and ensure timely submission of bids online by 26th May 2026 at 11:00 AM. The bid opening will occur the same day at 11:30 AM.
The submission deadline is firm, and bids must be submitted online through e-PADS. The delivery of vehicles will be arranged only after full payment is received. Taxes and duties applicable by law will be collected from the highest bidder in addition to the bid amount. TDAP reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or annul the bidding process as per PPRA Rule-33.
A practical tip for bidders is to thoroughly inspect the vehicles before bidding and ensure the bid security is prepared correctly to avoid disqualification. Early registration on e-PADS and careful review of the bidding documents will enhance chances of successful participation in this auction.
