Tender Description
NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights.
The Pakistan Defence Officers Housing Authority, Karachi is offering waste and miscellaneous items located at DHA Karachi for disposal through open bidding on an as-is-where-is basis. The auction venue is the MT Workshop opposite Khadijat-ul-Kubra Masjid, Khayaban-e-Rahat, Phase-VI, DHA Karachi. Interested bidders should physically inspect the materials before participating and assess their condition, quantity, recoverable value, loading requirements, transportation arrangements, applicable taxes, and environmental compliance obligations.
Mandatory items list: Lot or item grouping includes engine waste oil with barrels; empty oil barrels; used oil filters; used tyres; used tubes; used batteries; and miscellaneous items. The notice does not provide individual lot numbers, quantities, units, reserve prices, or an item-wise valuation. All materials are available for inspection from **9 August 2026 to 11 August 2026**, daily between 1000 and 1630 hours. Bidders should coordinate their visit at the MT Workshop and make their own verification before bidding.
Bidders are invited to attend and bid on **12 August 2026 at 1100 hours** at the stated workshop. The successful bidder must pay **25% of the bid amount plus applicable taxes** as an advance on the same day. The remaining balance payment and taxes must be deposited within seven days of bidding, before issuance of the authority letter permitting removal or collection of the items. Waste management firms and vendors approved by the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency are especially encouraged to participate for engine waste oil.
The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning a reason. No submission by post or electronic portal is specified; participation is through attendance and open bidding at the auction venue. Practical tip: bring business, tax, environmental approval, and transport documents, and budget for immediate advance payment, taxes, dismantling, loading, and removal costs.
