Tender Description
The Purchase Department of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad Capital Territory, is procuring Blood Bag Shakers required for the Blood Bank at PIMS. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and aims to enhance the blood collection process with modern equipment.
Items being procured:
- Blood Bag Shakers (Platelet mixers), Quantity: 2 units
The Blood Bag Shakers are portable, automatic devices with adjustable speed and digital display, designed for continuous agitation of blood bags during collection. They feature a chargeable battery system, speed range of 12-14 RPM, and multiple display indicators including collected volume, flow status, time duration, current status, blood flow rate per minute, and battery status. The equipment must be FDA approved or CE marked and come with a mandatory demo for technical evaluation. The supplier must provide a 10-year warranty with parts from the installation date. The shakers include automatic and manual clamping, LED indications, audio alarms, and a battery backup with in-built charging.
Technical scope includes delivery and installation at PIMS Hospital, Sector G-8/3, Islamabad. The supplier must have a service workshop in Islamabad or Rawalpindi with adequate engineering services and spare parts availability. The tender requires the supplier to be a manufacturer or sole authorized dealer with valid documentation. Bidders must provide financial standing, experience of at least 10 years supplying blood bank equipment to teaching hospitals or government departments, and trained engineers with certificates.
The tender follows a National Single Stage-Two Envelope procurement method with Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS). Bids must be submitted online via EPADS v2.0 by Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Manual submissions are not accepted. The bid opening will be on the same day at 11:30 AM. Earnest Money in the form of Pay Order or Call Deposit is required. Performance Guarantee of 10% of contract price will be required from the successful bidder.
