Civil Works, Erection, Stringing and Testing & Commissioning for Raising of 220kV D/C Twin Bundle T/Line NKLP-SNR-Ghazi due To Construction of Lahore-Sahiwal-Bahawalnagar Motorway (LSBM) (Between Location No. 28 & 30)

The National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) Lahore invites experienced and qualified contractors for the comprehensive civil works, erection, stringing, testing, and commissioning of the 220kV Double Circuit Twin Bundle Transmission Line from NKLP to SNR to Ghazi, necessitated by the construction of the Lahore-Sahiwal-Bahawalnagar Motorway (LSBM) between tower locations 28 and 30. This project is critical for maintaining the integrity and capacity of the transmission network in Punjab province.\n\nItems being procured:\n- Check survey including pegging out and layout of tower locations, spotting/stalking of towers\n- Reinforced concrete pile/pier foundations for Tower Types EG and EA including supply of materials, installation of anchor bolts and pole grounding\n- Transportation and installation of 220kV towers including stubs and grounding material\n- Welding of nuts with bolts by electric arc welding on erected towers up to 8-meter height from top of foundation chimney\n- Handling and installation of 29.53mm dia ACSR Two Rail conductor and Earth Wire for twin bundle configuration along with allied hardware\n- Dismantling of existing 220kV EA Type Tower and allied hardware including shifting and proper stacking at designated NTDC warehouse\n- Testing and commissioning of the transmission line\n- Bitumen coating for footings of towers\n\nThe technical scope includes detailed survey and staking, sub-soil investigations, reinforced concrete foundations suitable for all soil types, erection of steel towers, stringing of conductors and earth wires, welding and painting works, and comprehensive testing and commissioning. The contractor must ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards, including the use of approved materials and equipment.\n\nEligibility criteria require registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-4 or above, active taxpayer status with FBR and provincial authorities, and a proven track record of executing similar 220kV or higher voltage transmission line projects of at least 5 km in the last 10 years. Joint ventures are allowed with combined PEC limits meeting the requirements. Key personnel must include qualified project and electrical engineers with relevant experience. Financial capability must demonstrate a minimum average annual turnover of PKR 50 million and access to financial resources to meet cash flow demands.\n\nThe bid submission deadline is Monday, July 27, 2026, at 14:00 hours, with bids to be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0. Original bid security must be submitted in hard copy to the Executive Engineer S&I Division (EHV-I), NGC Lahore, House No. 3, Block C, Model Town, Lahore.
