Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors to undertake the conservation, preservation, and restoration of two significant heritage churches located in Sukkur and Hyderabad, Sindh. Issued by the Directorate General of Antiquities and Archaeology under the Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Archives Department Government of Sindh, this project falls under the Construction & Civil Works Materials category and requires specialized expertise in heritage conservation.
The scope includes detailed documentation, scientific surveying, removal of debris, cleaning of surfaces affected by fungus and pollution, restoration of wooden elements, replacement of decayed lime stone blocks, termite treatment, re-pointing of masonry joints, plastering, electrical and plumbing works, and roof restoration. The work demands careful handling of original materials and adherence to conservation principles, with a completion period of 18 months. The sites are sensitive archaeological heritage locations requiring experienced archaeological engineers, senior architects, and site engineers with relevant PEC registration and specialization codes BC-02, CE-10 & EE-06.
Bidders must be registered with PEC in category C-3 or above, hold valid NTN, Sindh Revenue Board, FBR registration, and electric licenses. Financial turnover must be twice the estimated cost over the last five years, supported by audited financial statements. The tender mandates submission of a methodology plan, health, safety and environmental plan, and appointment of senior archaeologists and technical experts. Bid security of PKR 10,950,000 is required in the form of Call Deposit, Pay Order, Demand Draft, or Bank Guarantee.
