Tender Description
The National Highway Authority (NHA) Islamabad invites bids for the construction of the Hyderabad – Sukkur Motorway (M-6), specifically Section-3 from Nawabshah to Naushahro Feroz covering approximately 64.61 kilometers. This major infrastructure project aims to enhance connectivity and transportation efficiency in Sindh province, executed under the financing of the OPEC Fund for International Development. The scope includes comprehensive civil works for motorway construction, involving earthworks, pavement laying, bridges, drainage, and related infrastructure along the specified section.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and possess valid FBR registration along with an Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status. Experience in large-scale road construction projects is essential to meet the technical requirements. Bidders are required to submit a Technical Bid and Financial Bid along with an earnest money deposit in the form of a Bid Security amounting to PKR 1.27 billion or equivalent in US dollars.
Bidding documents can be obtained from the office of the General Manager Procurement and Contract Administration at NHA Headquarters Islamabad upon payment of a non-refundable fee of PKR 10,000 via Pay Order or Demand Draft. The documents are available Monday to Friday during office hours. Bids must be submitted physically at the NHA Auditorium, 2nd Floor, Room No. 223, NHA HQ Islamabad by 11:00 AM on 11th August 2026. Electronic submissions are not allowed and late bids will be rejected.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the bid security and all required documentation to avoid disqualification. Early submission is advised to accommodate any unforeseen delays. This tender represents a significant opportunity for contractors specializing in road infrastructure to contribute to a landmark motorway project in Pakistan.
