Tender Description
The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), through its Water and Waste Management Institute (PARC-WAWMI) located in Tandojam, Sindh, is procuring comprehensive construction and installation services for civil infrastructure development at its facility. This tender specifically covers a wide range of civil works including construction of earthen ponds, energy dissipating tanks, spillway structures, irrigation systems such as online drip and sprinkler (hydrant) irrigation, parabolic water courses, rehabilitation of shallow dug wells, and installation of a walk-in tunnel structure with integrated drip irrigation for vegetable nurseries.
The technical scope involves excavation, masonry, concrete works, plumbing, electrical installations, and irrigation system setup across multiple sites within the institute. The project demands expertise in civil construction, water supply and sanitation, and electrical works, ensuring efficient water conservation and irrigation aligned with the ALP-RWH Project NR-356 objectives. The contractor must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-6 or above, possess valid FBR registration, and have at least three years of relevant experience including completion of two similar public sector projects within the last three years.
Bidders are required to submit their bids electronically via the E-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS) and also provide a hard copy of the sealed bidding documents along with the bid security in the form of a Call Deposit or Bank Draft of Rs. 110,000 in favor of the Director General, Southern Zone Agricultural Research Center. The deadline for submission is **May 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.**, with bid opening scheduled at 11:30 a.m. on the same day at the Directorate General PARC-SARC office, Karachi University Campus.
A practical tip for bidders is to conduct a thorough site visit prior to bid submission to understand site conditions, availability of water, materials, and labor logistics. This will help in preparing a realistic technical proposal and cash flow plan, which are critical for timely completion within the stipulated one calendar month. Ensuring compliance with all bid submission requirements, including the Integrity Pact and PEC registration, will avoid disqualification during evaluation.
This tender offers a valuable opportunity for qualified contractors to contribute to sustainable water management infrastructure at a premier agricultural research institute in Sindh, Pakistan.
