Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the construction and repair of Customer Facilitation Centers (CFC) and office maintenance at various 132 KV Grid Stations and MEPCO headquarters in Multan. Issued by the Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO), it covers civil works, furniture provision, and electronics installation, reflecting a comprehensive upgrade and maintenance effort in the power distribution infrastructure within Multan.
The scope includes building new CFCs at Rajan Pur, Kot Chutta, and Jampur, along with conversion and repair works at Tounsa Sharif and the MEPCO office complex. The projects demand quality construction materials and skilled workmanship to meet the engineering standards required for power station facilities. The sites are strategically located in Multan and surrounding areas, requiring contractors to manage logistics and site challenges effectively.
Bidders must hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration under category CE-10 and maintain active tax registrations with FBR and Punjab Revenue Authority. Compliance with PEC codes and FBR ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26 is mandatory. Contractors should ensure their documentation, including Earnest Money in the form of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR), is complete and adheres to the tender conditions to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is set for 26th March 2026, with bid opening at 14:30 hours on the same day at the office of the Superintending Engineer (Civil), MEPCO Headquarters, Khanewal Road, Multan. Bids must be submitted electronically via the EPADS portal, with original bid security submitted physically before the deadline.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender advertisement for specific stamp duty and bid security submission requirements, as these are common pitfalls that can lead to bid rejection. Ensure all PEC and tax credentials are up to date and properly documented to streamline the evaluation process.
