Tender Description
This tender invites qualified consultants and architectural firms to provide expert consultancy services for a significant construction and renovation project at the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing. The Embassy, located in the Chaoyang District, requires comprehensive design, technical assistance, and supervision for building a new office, renovating existing office spaces, upgrading residential areas, and expanding consular facilities including a community hall and prayer room.
The project demands a consultant with strong technical expertise to manage the complexities of construction and renovation in an embassy setting, ensuring compliance with local regulations and high-quality standards. The site in Beijing presents unique challenges including coordination with local authorities and adherence to diplomatic security protocols. The consultant will work closely with the Mission's Renovation Committee to deliver timely and efficient project outcomes.
Interested firms must be registered with local Chinese tax and regulatory authorities and demonstrate their capability to provide best quality consultancy services. The tender requires submission of a refundable security amounting to 5% of the bid value as a pay order in favor of the Embassy. Firms are advised to ensure their PEC registration and FBR/ATL status are up to date for the 2025-26 financial year to meet compliance requirements.
Bids must be submitted by the deadline of 10 March 2026 at 12:30 PM, with the technical and financial bids opening at 2:00 PM the same day in Jinnah Hall at the Embassy. Tender documents are available from 20 February to 9 March 2026 during office hours at the Office of the Head of Chancery, Embassy of Pakistan Beijing.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to verify the security deposit requirements and ensure the consulting firm is distinct from the construction contractor to avoid conflicts of interest, as preferred by the Embassy. Also, carefully review the tender documents for any specific local compliance and stamp duty conditions.
