Tender Description
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites experienced and eligible contractors for the conversion of an ordinary safe room into a reinforced cement concrete (RCC) strong room at its Shahpur Shangla Branch in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This project involves comprehensive civil, electrical, and facility management works to enhance the security infrastructure of the branch.
The technical scope includes dismantling existing masonry, false ceilings, flooring, and electrical fixtures, followed by RCC walls, beams, and lintels construction with Grade 60 steel reinforcement. The project also covers brick masonry, plastering, internal painting, wooden door installation, false ceiling, electrical wiring, and installation of a standard strong room door with advanced locking mechanisms. Approved materials and brands as per annexures are mandatory. The estimated project duration is 45 days with a completion deadline of May 21, 2026.
Eligible bidders must have an active status on the FBR Active Taxpayer List and Provincial Revenue Board, valid Pakistan Engineering Council registration in financial category C-6 or above with specialization codes CE-10 & EE-04, and proven experience of completing at least three similar projects of up to PKR 25 million in the last three years. Bidders must submit a technical and financial bid through the E-PAK Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS) portal, accompanied by a bid security of PKR 40,000 in the form of a pay order, banker's cheque, or bank guarantee. The original bid security must be submitted to NBP before the bid closing time.
The submission deadline is 11:00 AM on May 21, 2026, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day at the Office of VP/Wing Head, Engineering Wing (North), Engineering Group, LCMG, 2nd Floor, NBP G-5/1 Building Islamabad. Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents, ensure compliance with all technical specifications, and prepare their bids accordingly. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of the original bid security to avoid disqualification, as the EPADS portal only accepts electronic submissions except for the original bid security instrument.
This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified contractors to contribute to the security enhancement of a key financial institution branch in a challenging region. Bidders should leverage their technical expertise, PEC registration, and past experience to prepare competitive and compliant bids. The earnest money and bid security requirements underscore the seriousness of the procurement process, aligned with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules and the latest procurement regulations.
