Tender Description
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites bids for the conversion of an ordinary safe room into a reinforced cement concrete (RCC) strong room at its Shah Derai Branch in Swat. This procurement is specific to the Engineering Group, LCMG, and requires experienced contractors with PEC registration category C-6 or above, specializing in civil and electrical works. The project involves comprehensive civil works including dismantling, RCC walls, steel reinforcement, brick masonry, plastering, painting, flooring, and electrical wiring and fittings. The scope also includes installation of a standard strong room door, false ceiling, and associated electrical and security works.
Bidders must be active on the FBR Active Taxpayer List and registered with the Provincial Revenue Board. Experience of completing at least three similar projects of banks or financial institutions, each up to PKR 25 million in the last three years, is mandatory. The bid security of PKR 40,000 must be submitted in original before the closing time. Bids are to be submitted electronically via the E-PAK Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS) portal by 11:00 AM on May 21, 2026, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day at the NBP Engineering Wing, Islamabad.
The technical bid should include detailed method statements, mobilization and construction schedules, and equipment lists. The contractor is advised to carefully review the site and bidding documents, ensure timely submission of all required documents, and maintain compliance with all regulatory and technical requirements. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure the original bid security is submitted on time to avoid disqualification, as electronic submission alone is insufficient. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified contractors to engage in a high-profile banking infrastructure project with clear timelines and regulatory oversight.
