Tender Description
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is procuring the conversion of an ordinary safe room into a reinforced cement concrete (RCC) strong room at its Manyar Branch in Swat. This project involves comprehensive civil, electrical, and facility management works to enhance security and structural integrity of the bank premises.
The technical scope includes dismantling existing masonry, false ceilings, flooring, doors, windows, grills, and electrical and plumbing fixtures. The works require RCC walls, beams, lintels, steel reinforcement, brick masonry, plastering, painting, wooden doors, false ceilings, electrical wiring, lighting, and installation of a standard strong room door with advanced locking mechanisms. Approved brands and materials are specified for all components to ensure quality and durability.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to have an active status on the FBR Active Taxpayer List and Provincial Revenue Board, valid Pakistan Engineering Council registration in financial category C-6 or above with specialization codes CE-10 & EE-04, and experience of completing at least three similar projects of banks or financial institutions up to Rs. 25 million in the last three years. Bidders must also provide an affidavit confirming they are not blacklisted.
Key dates include bid submission by 11:00 AM on May 21, 2026, via the e-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS). The original bid security of Rs. 40,000 must be submitted to NBP before the closing time. Bids will be opened publicly at 11:30 AM the same day at the NBP Engineering Wing in Islamabad.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure thorough site visits and careful review of the detailed technical specifications and bill of quantities to prepare a responsive and competitive bid. Early preparation of bid security and compliance documents will facilitate smooth submission through EPADS.
This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified contractors to engage in a high-profile bank security enhancement project in Swat with clear regulatory compliance and transparent procurement procedures.
