Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors to undertake the construction and installation of deep pumps equipped with solar power systems for drinking water supply in the hard areas of UC Shalmani, UC Amri, UC Jhangara, and UC Bajara within Jamshoro district. The Public Health Engineering Department, Jamshoro, is overseeing this project under the Annual Development Programme 2025-26. The scope includes borehole drilling, installation of submersible pumps, solar panels, piping, pump houses, and clear water tanks, ensuring sustainable water supply solutions in remote and challenging terrains of Sindh.
The works involve detailed geological surveys, vertical electrical sounding, and hydrogeological assessments to identify suitable water-bearing strata. Contractors will execute borehole drilling up to depths of 400 feet, install PVC casings and strainers, and provide robust pump houses with reinforced concrete structures. The pumping machinery includes stainless steel submersible pumps of 1.5 HP capacity, coupled with solar photovoltaic systems comprising Tier 1 Mono-Pak Grade A solar panels and VFD drives. The project demands adherence to technical specifications, quality materials, and compliance with safety and environmental standards in Jamshoro.
Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in relevant categories CE09, CE10, and EE11 with valid renewal up to June 2026. They should demonstrate experience in similar works executed in the last five years, possess active tax registration with FBR and Sindh Revenue Board, and submit audited financial statements. The tender requires submission of a bid security of 5% of the estimated cost and compliance with all SPPRA rules. The contract duration is three months with a bid validity of 90 days.
The submission deadline is set for 20th February 2026 at 10:30 AM, with bid opening at 11:00 AM on the same day at the office of the Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering Division, Jamshoro, near Railway Crossing Kotri. Bids must be submitted electronically via the EPADS portal. The physical delivery of tender fee and bid security instruments is mandatory before the deadline.
Pro-Tip: Ensure all pages of the technical proposal are duly attested and stamped by the firm owner. Pay close attention to the bid security and tender fee submission deadlines to avoid disqualification. Also, verify PEC category and tax compliance documents carefully as these are critical for eligibility. Checking the EPADS portal regularly for any addenda or clarifications is advisable to stay updated on tender amendments.
