Tender Description
The National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) invites bids for the deployment of a GPON Network at its facility in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This procurement is specifically for the installation and commissioning of a high-speed fiber optic network to enhance telecommunication services for federal and provincial government departments, autonomous organizations, and defense services.
The technical scope includes supply and installation of 2-fiber drop fiber cables, aerial optical fiber cables with 6 and 12 fibers, joint enclosures, optical splitters, patch cords, and associated accessories. The work also involves construction of RCC hand holes, hanging and pulling of cables on poles, walls, and roofs, and termination and splicing of fiber optic cables. The project requires adherence to detailed specifications and includes installation, splicing, termination, and testing at the customer end.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue and hold a valid PEC registration in categories EE-07 or EE-08. Firms must not be blacklisted and should have no prior litigation with any government organization. Relevant experience in similar telecommunication projects is essential. Bidders are required to submit a tender security of 2% of the bid value in the form of a Bank Draft, CDR, or Pay Order valid for 120 days beyond bid validity.
The tender documents are available from the Director NTC Peshawar office. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes following the Single Stage - Single Envelope procedure by 10 June 2026 before 11:30 AM. Technical bids will be opened on the same day at NTC Peshawar in the presence of bidders' representatives. Financial bids of technically qualified bidders will be opened later.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that all required documents, including PEC registration, FBR certificates, and declarations on stamp paper regarding blacklisting and litigation, are complete and properly attested. This will avoid disqualification during the technical evaluation. Also, timely submission and proper sealing of bids are critical to avoid rejection.
