Tender Description
The Inspector General of Police Balochistan in Quetta is procuring Digital Driving License Cards including both chip-enabled and non-chip variants. This procurement involves a significant quantity adjustment from the originally published 70,000 cards to a revised total of 200,000 cards, comprising 20,000 with chip and 180,000 without chip. The procurement is critical for modernizing the driving license issuance system in Balochistan, ensuring enhanced security and authenticity through chip technology.
The technical scope covers the supply of digital driving license cards, including books, magazines, electronics, and printed publications related to the licenses. Bidders must be prepared to meet the quality and quantity requirements as specified by the department. The tender documents and any corrigendum are available for download from the official BPPRA website, ensuring transparency and access to all interested suppliers.
Eligible bidders should have valid FBR registration and be listed on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). Experience in supplying secure identity cards or similar electronic printed materials will be advantageous. The department may require earnest money in the form of a CDR as part of the bid submission. The technical and financial bids must be prepared carefully, adhering to the specifications and submission guidelines.
The bid submission deadline has been extended to 25th June 2026, with the opening of bids on the same day. Suppliers should ensure timely delivery of bids to the designated office in Quetta. Contact details including phone and email are provided for any clarifications.
A practical tip for bidders is to thoroughly review the updated bidding documents on the BPPRA website and ensure all technical specifications, especially regarding chip technology, are fully met. This will avoid disqualification during the technical evaluation phase and improve chances of success in this high-volume procurement.
