Tender Description
Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) invites bids for the disposal of unserviceable and scrap items consisting of 66-KV redundant power lines located at Essa Khel-Tajazai, Tank-Tajazai, and Kohat-Hangu. This procurement is specifically for the removal and sale of these scrap materials on an 'as is where is' basis from PESCO stores in Peshawar. The disposal includes healthy power transformers and associated scrap items from the specified lots.
The technical scope requires bidders to inspect the scrap items at the PESCO stores to understand the condition and quantity before submitting their bids. The lifting of scrap material must be completed within 21 working days from the issuance of the Work Order under the supervision of PESCO's nominated committee. Bidders must arrange their own vehicles, labor, and comply with safety protocols including providing PPE to workers. Sub-contracting is not allowed. Payment of all applicable taxes and duties is the responsibility of the successful bidder.
Eligibility criteria include registration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and appearance on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL). Bidders must submit an affidavit confirming they are not blacklisted or debarred by any government or semi-government organization. Earnest Money in the form of a fixed Bid Security must be submitted electronically and in original form before the closing date. The bidding procedure follows a single stage one envelope process under PPRA Rules 2004.
The closing date for bid submission is **28th June 2026** by 10:30 AM, with bid opening at 11:00 AM the same day. Bids must be submitted electronically through EPADS v2.0; manual bids will not be accepted. The submission address for original bid security is Manager (Disposal), Room No. 306, PESCO HQ, Shami Road, Peshawar.
A practical tip for bidders is to physically visit the PESCO stores during office hours to verify the scrap condition and quantity. This helps avoid surprises and ensures accurate bidding. Also, ensure all bid security documents are correctly prepared on non-judicial stamp paper as required to avoid disqualification.
This tender offers a valuable opportunity for firms experienced in scrap disposal and asset recovery to participate in a transparent and regulated process by a major power distribution company in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
