Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors or firms to provide disposal services for fly ash, bottom ash, and gypsum generated as by-products from the 660 MW Coal Fired Power Plant operated by Jamshoro Power Company Limited (JPCL) in Jamshoro, Sindh. The scope specifically covers the hiring of services for the safe and efficient disposal of these materials.
Items being procured:
- Disposal of Fly Ash
- Disposal of Bottom Ash
- Disposal of Gypsum
The technical scope requires bidders to manage the disposal process in compliance with environmental and safety standards applicable to coal-fired power plants. The site is the JPCL facility in Jamshoro, and the contractor must ensure proper handling and transportation of the ash and gypsum materials.
Eligibility criteria include registration as an active taxpayer with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Sindh Revenue Board, and bidders must not be blacklisted. Documentary evidence of these qualifications must be submitted with the bid.
The bidding procedure follows a single stage, one envelope process under PPRA rules, with evaluation based on least cost selection to identify the most advantageous bidder. The bid security required is PKR 2,000,000 (two million rupees), and bids must remain valid for 90 days after opening.
The pre-bid conference is scheduled for 22nd July 2026 at 12:00 noon in the conference room on the 1st floor of the administration building at JPCL Jamshoro. Bids must be submitted electronically through the EPAD system on or before 11:00 AM on 5th August 2026, with opening at 11:30 AM the same day.
For queries, contact the Project Director at JPCL Jamshoro via phone at 022-9213744 or 022-9213742, or email pdpjjv@jpcl.com.pk.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all tax registrations and blacklisting status are thoroughly verified and documented before submission to avoid disqualification. Early registration on the EPAD platform and careful adherence to submission deadlines will also enhance bid acceptance chances.
