Tender Description
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) is offering the disposal of redundant transmission line materials located in Islamabad. This procurement invites interested suppliers and contractors to submit their bids for the removal and purchase of these materials on an as-is-where-is basis. The scope includes dismantling, loading, and removal of transmission line components. Bidders must inspect the materials themselves to satisfy the quality and condition before submitting offers.
The tender requires submission of earnest money in the form of a CDR or bank guarantee from a scheduled bank with an A+ rating or above, valid for 120 days. The earnest money must be in the name of the bidder and submitted before the closing time. The successful bidder will be required to make full payment within 21 working days of the Letter of Acceptance issuance. Removal of materials must be completed within 35 working days, failing which rental charges of 1% per day of the total value will be applied.
Eligibility criteria include being registered with the Federal Board of Revenue and not being blacklisted by any government department or organization. Bidders should be aware that all applicable government taxes, including 18% GST and 10% income tax, will be charged on the contract price. The disposal is strictly on an as-is basis, and no claims will be entertained after submission.
The tender submission deadline and address are specified in the bidding documents issued by IESCO Headquarters Islamabad. Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their technical and financial bids, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions. A practical tip for bidders is to thoroughly inspect the materials on site before bidding to avoid any surprises regarding quality or quantity, as no claims will be accepted post-award.
