Tender Description
The Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Islamabad is offering an open auction for the disposal of unserviceable and surplus items lying at the Ministry premises. This auction includes a variety of goods such as tables, wooden chairs, sofas of different sizes, steel cabinets, tyres, toner cartridges, fax machines, steel amirahs, laptops, photocopier machines, and other miscellaneous items. The auction will be conducted on an 'as is where is' basis, meaning all items will be sold without any warranty or responsibility for defects or missing parts after sale.
The disposal process is supervised by the Ministry's Disposal Committee. Interested participants must apply through the E-PAD system and submit a refundable earnest money of 3% of their bid amount via pay order or demand draft in favor of the Ministry. The highest bidder will be required to deposit 25% of the total auction amount on the same day, with the remaining balance payable within three working days. Successful bidders must remove the auctioned items within three working days to avoid a penalty of 10% of the total value as rent.
Eligibility to participate requires registration on E-PAD and compliance with the Ministry's terms and conditions. The auction items can be inspected at the Ministry's storeroom during office hours from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on working days. The auction will commence at 11:00 a.m. on 6th July 2026 at the Ministry's office located on the 4th Floor, Evacuee Trust Complex F-5/1 Islamabad.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully inspect the items beforehand during the specified hours to avoid surprises, as the Ministry will not entertain any claims regarding defects or missing parts after the sale. Timely submission of the earnest money and original documents to the Section Officer (General) is crucial to participate successfully in the auction. This opportunity is ideal for suppliers looking to acquire surplus government assets at competitive prices within Islamabad Capital Territory.
